what NOT to do when you go camping:
- leave your house at 7:45pm
- get the wrong size of batteries for the only three lanterns that you have
- forget fire wood
- bring a broken tent
- have a dinner that requires a fire to cook (see above)
- bring the wrong pump for your air mattress (this = no air in your mattress, which = sleeping on the rocks)
In the case that you do happen to encounter all of these problems, don't fret. It makes for a great story!

The culprit. You definitely can't have a fire if your lighter is broken.
Did I mention it was freezing this night? Close to below zero (..or 45 degrees) so we ate in the car with the heater.
Despite all of this, it ended up being the best camping trip ever. I loved it. And we made it out alive.
And look at how gorgeous it was in the morning.
*we may or may not have left at 7:00am and made breakfast at home. I couldn't take another camping issue
I have something to say.. I slept amazing that night and didn't wake up once, the food was great, and the tent? That was kinda not fair. We made it work though.
ReplyDeletePS- we came home that next day and I had to show Carlee how to put the batteries in the lantern- it turned out we had the right ones after all :)
Love you sweet heart!
