Fall Break. AKA honeymoon part 2

On our way!! So excited

San Diego Temple. This was such a fun day. The temple is absolutely gorgeous

So happy that Grandma Satterthwaite and Aunt Robin could come

We're all about Scrabble. We get way competitive. Watch out
DISNEYLAND!!!
All of the Halloween decorations were so awesome

Haunted Mansion: Totally different ride during Halloween, all of the voice automation was different and the decorations were all "Nightmare Before Christmas" themed. Way cool
Splash Mountain: Trev was a little nervous (yes I was on this ride, you just can't see my face)
One of my favorites! ...not so much Trevor's

Pirates of the Caribbean was closed (way bummed) so Trevor had to get his pirate fix
Last ride of the day....... It's a small world!
Best. Food. Ever
I was a little excited
Coronado Beach
Thanks to Grandma Satterthwaite, we got to go on the harbor cruise in seaport village! It was so much fun
This boat was in the movie Pirates of the Caribbean 4

Solana Beach, less than a mile from the resort we stayed at. So pretty

Awards for awkward moments of the trip...

3rd place:
This couple got married at Disneyland. They took their wedding pictures there also. We were right behind them, pretty sure we got in a couple of their pictures.. hopefully they can crop us out

2nd Place:
Trevor's little friend.
While taking our pictures in front of the harbor, this guy randomly wanted to get his picture taken with Trevor. I felt jipped that he didn't want a picture with me.

1st Place:

Unfortunately we don't have a picture to display of this moment... but to make a long story short we had a little incident at the resort we stayed in. It basically went like this

camping 101

what NOT to do when you go camping:

  • leave your house at 7:45pm
  • get the wrong size of batteries for the only three lanterns that you have
  • forget fire wood
  • bring a broken tent
  • have a dinner that requires a fire to cook (see above)
  • bring the wrong pump for your air mattress (this = no air in your mattress, which = sleeping on the rocks)
In the case that you do happen to encounter all of these problems, don't fret. It makes for a great story!
 the non-fire
our tinfoil dinners on the non-fire
 Trev contemplating the broken tent..
 determined to make it work
No tongs for the tinfoil dinner? improvise
The culprit. You definitely can't have a fire if your lighter is broken.
Did I mention it was freezing this night? Close to below zero (..or 45 degrees) so we ate in the car with the heater.
Despite all of this, it ended up being the best camping trip ever. I loved it. And we made it out alive.
And look at how gorgeous it was in the morning.

*we may or may not have left at 7:00am and made breakfast at home. I couldn't take another camping issue

sprechen sie deutsche?

Tonight was German Night at the White's! It is Oktoberfest in Germany and so Trevor talked me into trying out some of the food he ate from his mission.. scary? Yes.
He surprised me and came out in his classic lederhosen, had to get the full German affect.
So here's what we ate... Rot Kohl (red cabbage), Spaetzle (egg noodles), Bratwursts, and the only normal thing.. Mashed Potatoes. Which didn't actually turn out to be very normal, because apparently German's add whole cubes of butter to their mashed potatoes and loads of salt. I think I gained ten pounds from the potatoes alone.

Best part of the night: chocolate mousse. Thank heavens German's have good taste in desserts.
Ich liebe ihn.

we've only just begun

We're Married! This day could not have been more perfect and I loved every second of it. Trevor and I have the best family, everyone helped out so much with everything. We couldn't have pulled it off without them. My mom and mother-in-law were co-captains in all of this. They put so much time into our wedding and I am so blessed to have them!

These girls were so cute! They were my official "dress holders" because my train was so long!

 The Christensen Family
 The White Family
 The Nelson Family

My favorite part of the luncheon! My sweet father-in-law played the guitar, and John Marriott sang "Marry Me" for our luncheon. I love this song and it sounded SO amazing! They did such a good job. Trevor was so cute and in the middle of the song asked me to dance. Definitely one of my favorite moments of the day.
My cute grandma "nette", Lynette Switzer and grandpa CB
We love Grandma Satterthwaite! We were so happy she could be here for our wedding.
My favorite girls! Abbey, Camie, and Gina

 The boys. Love them
My new nieces and nephews! I think my little brother just decided to sneak in the picture too. These are the cutest kids in the whole world.
My maid of honor Gina. Aka my bestie. Aka pabo. She is going to college at SVU and flew all the way from virginia to come be with me for my wedding. I couldn't have made it through the day without her.
Andrew loves his new big brother Trevor

Andrew is the best brother in the world. I just love him. (Doesn't he look SO stinkin cute in his tux?)

My Aunt Kerrie made our awesome cake. It looked so beautiful!
(and tasted yummy too!)
