Christmas Time [Before and After]

Trevor and I started dating in September of 2010, so we got to spend last Christmas together dating. It was such a fun time, I was already so in love with Trevor and I knew he was the one for me, so that made Christmas time even better to be with him. This Christmas, now that we are married it's like we're having our first Christmas all over again. After we put up our Christmas tree, I was comparing pictures of last Christmas with this Christmas, and as you can probably tell we definitely stepped it up a notch on the Christmas tree decorating this year!

We didn't exactly have a normal "tree stand" last year so we had to improvise.

Got wisdom teeth?

I sure don't! 

I got my wisdom teeth out this morning. It was quite the process. Not the actual taking them out part, just the whole stressing leading up to it part. My sweet father-in-law is a dentist and I was going to have him take them out, but I'm kind of a little (gigantic) chicken, so I pulled out the big guns. I went to an oral surgeon and got put under. Everything went great and now I'm at home with my amazingly perfect husband (he's taking such good care of me).

Trevor got to sit in the operatory room with me while they prepped me and put me under.  The last thing I remember before they injected the medicine to put me under was hearing Trevor say I love you, and then woke up to him holding my hand. He's the love of my life.

I don't remember much at all after I woke up until about a half hour after I got home. Apparently some funny stuff happened. When the oral surgeon and some of the assistants were giving Trevor instructions on how to take care of me I guess I was rambling off some quotes from Rocky.... Not too ashamed. It's a good movie. Also, we have a little friend at the Wendy's here in cedar. We don't know her name but Trev refers to her as Alice. She is quite the character and always makes trips to Wendy's fun. But I guess she was making a big deal about me being knocked out in the passenger seat with ice packs on my cheeks. Trevor tried to explain.

p.s. 3 months today! what a great way to spend your 3 month anniversary of being married.

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

This last weekend Trevor and I went with his family to cut down christmas trees! We went up Parowan Canyon and luckily Trevor and I found the perfect one!

Trevor is definitely getting into the christmas mood this year. It all started with putting up the christmas tree, and then lead to various other items around the house (all his idea, WAY impressed)

Then one day, he started cutting off limbs from the stump of our christmas tree. I guess I didn't catch the vision at first... so Trevor just went to town and did the whole thing by himself. He is so awesome and these cute little snow men turned out so perfect!

Mission Accomplished

I have such a happy place when I'm cooking in the kitchen, singing and dancing to music. It seems like the food always turns out better when you're listening to a good song. My usual song of choice is this (best ever, try it out), but now that it's Christmas time Trevor and I busted out Anne Murray and all of the other Christmas goods. So I have been WAY in the cooking mood lately with all of this fun music playing. 

Ever since I first started dating Trevor, I have love loved his mom's chicken noodle soup, and was determined to try making it someday. When we got married I was lucky enough to get the golden Satterthwaite family cook book.. (this may or may not be among some of the reasons I married Trevor).. so now I had my chance. It definitely doesn't compare with Kris and Julie's, but I totally did it!

Trevor was so cute and helped me out the whole time.

Then of course we had to finish it off with a game of rummy. Such a fun night!

I have a confession..

Okay so.... this story is completely ridiculous, but just go with it. 

Whenever Trevor and I play scrabble he sometimes (ALL the time) beats me. The first couple of times it was like, okay whatever Trev you're smart. But now it's a real problem. I have yet to beat him and it is causing great emotional stress. Lately, whenever we play I sometimes (ALL the time) end up in tears. Ridiculous I know. But how the heck would you feel if your husband was a genius and never let you win a game ever in your life and you feel like the dumb one in the relationship. The last game we played was especially bad (he beat me by 150 points) and I threatened to throw away the game. I may or may not have cried in my room a little.. when I got over myself I went to find Trevor and tell him I'm really not a drama queen and this is what I found....

I kind of like scrabble now.

i LOVE my husband!

I am the luckiest girl in the world to be Trevor's wife! We have been married 2 months today and they have been the happiest, most fun 2 months of my life. I have just been feeling so grateful for Trevor lately, so I wanted to write down some things I love about him.

He's my best friend

Trevor is SO good to me. I love how he is always trying to find ways to surprise me and he always comes up with the most fun dates.

 I love the faces Trevor pulls. He is always making me laugh and can always make a bad day turn into a good one. I love that we can be nerds together and have so much fun. 

I love it when I come home from work and find things like this laying around my house

I love how sweet Trevor is with me. He has treated me like a queen from day one. He knows all about "5 minute shoes" and helps me out when I decide to wear them. 

I love how he will randomly start dancing with me. 

 I love how he trusts me with anything. (No... I had never cut hair before)

I love how he loves my family, and I especially love how he is my little brother's idol.

I love how he has little "trevor moments" and rips up a cashier check and we end up having to tape together hundreds of little pieces of paper.

I love how he likes to cook with me, (and sometimes he just does it for me!) 

I love how fun it is to travel with him. He is all about travel treats and he always makes the road trips seem a lot shorter than they really are.

I love how smart Trevor is and how if he puts his mind to something he will accomplish it. I love his strong testimony and that he was such a great missionary. I love how he pays so much attention to me and makes me feel like the most important thing in the world. 

Trevor is just the best. 

I love him so so much and I am so blessed to be sealed to him forever.
