I love my dad so much! He has always been one of my best friends and we have the best relationship. It is always fun to be able to spend time with him because we have the same humor, and so we are constantly cracking each other up. He is such a great example to me. I am so blessed!

Best Brother Ever
K I seriously have the cutest brother in the whole world! In his 3rd grade class this last year he wrote a story about Trevor that I had to make sure I wrote down. He looks up to Trevor so much and I'm so grateful I married someone amazing so that andrew can have a good example of an older brother. So here is his story.
Title: My Brtoher-in-law Trevor
My brother-in-law Trevor is fun to play with. We had a snowball fight. I'm glad he's my brother cause I never had one and it's fun to have one. It's funny once he talked in German because he went to Germany on his mission. I ask him if he can teach me some German. Trevor and my dad go camping and its fun cause we go on adventures and tell funny stories. My brother Trevor is the best brother I ever had.
Makes my heart melt. He is always saying the cutest things to me like, "Carlee, now that you're done with college, does that mean you can move back home?" (I moved away so that I could go to college, so obviously now that I'm done it should mean that I can move back home). He's always so thoughtful and just awhile ago he asked my dad if we could buy my dog a badger so that he could have a friend (what on earth would we do with a badger, and where the heck do you buy one?) He just has the most tender heart and is always so fun, I'm just so grateful I have him as my little brother!

DAT time!
Dear family and friends,
Trevor will be taking the DAT (dental admissions test) on May 29th, so in about a week and a couple days. For those of you who don't know what the DAT is, it is the big test students have to take to be considered for acceptance into dental school. This isn't just any test either, it is a 5 hour grueling test of math, crazy organic chemistry, general chemistry, biology, perceptual ability, and reading comprehension. Basically it is the hardest test in the world. Trevor is the most amazing person ever and has been working SO extremely hard studying for this test. Over the past few months I thought it would be fun to take a sneak picture every time he studied for the test, not realizing that I would have a bazillion pictures by the time he took the test (and towards the end he started to notice what I was doing, so he would pull a little smirk in the picture) so I just wanted to post a few. I can't even begin to express how grateful I am for this guy! I don't know how he does it but somehow he manages to study on car trips, vacations, at people's houses, during american idol, and especially at home with me probably bugging him the whole time. He has the most amazing determination and he is such a hard worker. He has given up so much time, a fun summer, endless hours of sleep (seriously, he stays up till like 4 in the morning studying, I don't know many other people who could do that) to give us an awesome future. And somehow in between all of his crazy hours of studying he still makes time for me and makes me feel so important. He never once thinks of himself. I just love him so much!! I know he is going to do so great on the test because he is just so smart and is working so hard, he definitely deserves it. Please keep him in your prayers this week!

Campers Beware!
Trevor and I decided to try again at the whole "camping thing" (click if you want a laugh). So we went camping at Quail Lake over the weekend. Everything went great this time, except that I think we were a little too prepared this time. We got there at about three o'clock, which in St. George language means 97 degrees. Right when we got out of the car I wanted to start setting up camp, Trevor was trying to be a trooper but I think at least ten times I heard him say, "It's just really hot." So I decided that if I wanted my husband to survive this camping trip we'd better take a pit stop. We stayed at my air-conditioned parents house until Trevor decided it was safe enough to step outside which was about 8:30, and set up our camp.
There were only a few minor set backs, the heat being one of them, and also I thought a bear was attacking our tent all night. I'm not crazy. After Trevor gave me a geography lesson and reassured me for about an hour that there is no way on earth a bear could live, or even want to live in Quail Lake, everything else went smoothly.
Another minor set back.. We got a two man tent. Which ended up being a two year old tent, or maybe a dog tent, or maybe it was a sleeping bag we're not really sure.. so we borrowed one from my parents.
*working tent? check.
*remembered firewood? check.
We decided to stay long enough for breakfast this time too.
Happy Mother's Day!
Trevor and I were blessed with the most amazing moms ever. They are such wonderful examples to us and are definitely the best women in the world. They have the best personalities and are always happy. My mom has always been there for me and now my mother-in-law is exactly the same. I couldn't ask for anything more.
I hope I can be just like them someday.

General Conference Trip!
Trevor and I were lucky enough to attend the Saturday afternoon session of General Conference with my family! It was such an amazing experience. It was both mine and Trevor's first time attending, and we absolutely loved it. It was such a great feeling being in the same room as the prophet.
How cool.
Don't even worry about it. Elder David Archuleta (middle guy in the picture) was in the missionary choir that sang in the Saturday afternoon session, just another great moment of the trip. We had to snag a picture.
Before conference started we had some down time, so we decided to check out the new City Creek Center mall. My sisters and I saw Forever 21, so of course we had to make a stop there on our way home after conference. The boys weren't really feeling it, so they went on their own adventure.
Forever 21 and two minute shoes. why am I the shortest?
Every session of conference the past two days was so amazing. The very first talk I fell in love with, and then every talk after that just kept getting better and better. How lucky are we to have the opportunity to listen to our prophet and apostles give us direction from the Lord two times a year!
I am so grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

.5 Anniversary
To Carlee from Trevor:
Today we have been married 6 months. Crazy how fast time is when you spend each day with the one you love. Tonight we celebrated and went back to "our place" where we had our first date 18 months ago, and sat at the same table where all the magic started. That day I asked Carlee to go to lunch with me was the best decision I ever made. It took me a whole 2 weeks to find the right time (and the nerve) to approach her and introduce myself, "Hi I'm Trevor, wanna go to Pastry Pub?" But that's all it took for us to start falling in love with each other. The best part about being with Carlee is I can always be myself, and I think I'm a pretty fun person so I am glad I can be myself with her. I never felt like I had to do something different to impress her, because she took me how I am. We are pretty good at making each other laugh, but I feel like most of the time I don't do it on purpose it just happens (sometimes I don't know if she's laughing with me or at me). She lets me do most of the things I like to do (within her approval), but every now and then she'll save me from doing something embarrassing out in public. She lets me study until midnight (or later) and doesn't complain, and then makes me feel like all the work I do is worth it. If there is ever a day I am feeling down on myself, it is impossible to not appreciate that day because I get to spend it with my wife and best friend. My life is now to the point- without Carlee I would not be able to be myself.
I hope as you're reading this, you're reminded of all our inside jokes/ meanings and good times we've had together, and know how grateful I am for you Carlee. I love you sweet heart!

never going to complain about going to Walmart again!
So here's a funny story..
Last Friday, I had an extra long day at school, and then an extra long day at work, with foresight of an EXTRA long working weekend. Needless to say, not so much of a happy camper here. When I got home from work, all I wanted to do was take a very long nap (and by nap I mean go to bed at 6 pm). So I asked Trevor to come take a nap with me. You probably don't know this about Trevor, but he is the worst nap taker ever. When I say nap, I think he registers it as lay down for 30 seconds and then it's time to get up and do something with our lives. So when I asked him to take a nap, this is exactly what happened. He laid down for 30 seconds and then got up because he decided we absolutely had to go to Walmart. What the heck? Exhausted+Walmart = worst disaster ever. So of course I was refusing to go. My sweet husband sat in the car for probably 30 minutes begging and trying to convince me that it was necessary to go to walmart, this whole time I was trying to imagine why on earth he wouldn't just go shopping by himself.
So finally I got myself out of bed and went out to the car. The whole car ride I was pulling the silent treatment. When we got to the stop light where you can turn right and go to Walmart, Trevor went straight onto the freeway. As you can imagine, I was very confused. I was so tired and my brain wasn't up for processing things. Trevor had the cutest smile on his face and said, "Surprise! We're going to Zion for the weekend." I looked in the back seat and he had our bags all packed and everything.
What a sweetheart!
And yes. You better believe I felt like the biggest brat on earth.
This was just what I needed. We stayed in the Cable Mountain Lodge, and my whole family was there. Aunts/ Uncles and cousins. And we even got to eat at Oscars in the morning! Such a fun trip.
Breakfast. This picture does not do it justice. It actually kind of looks completely disgusting. But in reality, it is disgustingly good! It is gigantic but I could totally eat the whole thing by myself!! If you ever go to Oscar's you need to try out the Horseshoe
We got back from Zion in the early afternoon and decided to hike the Red Hills in St. George. This was one of my favorite things to do growing up, and this was where Trevor proposed to me so I was excited to show Trevor some of the places where we hike up there.
There is a place on the Red Hills that my family calls "the narrows", who knows if that is really the name, but thats what we refer to it as. This little crack in the mountain is the narrows.
Trevor is brave and decided to try it out with me. This little slit in the Mountain is about 200 yds long and it is so thin it is about 1 foot in width. I hadn't gone through it in a few years, and sad to say I'm a little bigger now than I was then, so it was so hard to squish through there! Talk about claustrophobic! Trevor was afraid he was stuck for a second. It was pretty scary.
At the end! Finally able to come out!
I was more scared to stand over it than to wedge my way through it!
Trevor is just the best!
I love St. George!!

Valentines Day!
Yay!! I LOVE Valentines day! Trevor always makes it such a fun day. Last year was the best, he totally surprised me and it was so perfect, so I was wondering if he could top last year, and what he had up his sleeve for this year. He definitely delivered!
Valentines day started early this year. Trevor has class at 8, so that he means he wakes up at 7,
which means I had to wake up at 6 to go get breakfast in bed for him.
Totally worth it. We never get the chance to eat breakfast together so it was really fun.
Trevor knows I can't handle surprises, so he took EXTRA long on dinner, and closed the door to the kitchen so I couldn't peek. This is what I was staring at for like an hour and a half.
How cute is he! I love his face in this. He made THE BEST dinner for us.
Red velvet cake. My favorite.
